A new consistency between a drink and a gel

The Maurten Gel Mix 480 introduces an entirely new format to the Maurten range. It is neither a ready-to-use gel nor a classic energy drink.

After preparation with 200 ml of water, it offers a texture thicker than a Drink Mix and more fluid than a Maurten Gel, creating a unique fueling experience for long rides. This new consistency makes it easier to consume regularly during prolonged efforts.

Hydrogel technology for a high energy intake

The Maurten Gel Mix 480 is based on Hydrogel technology, a combination of sodium alginate and pectin that forms a gel after preparation.

This technology delivers a large amount of carbohydrates in an easy-to-consume format during exercise, while providing a smooth and pleasant texture. The blend consists mainly of maltodextrin and fructose, combined with specific gelling agents.

Up to 120 g of carbohydrates per sachet

Each sachet of 125 g provides:

• 120 g of carbohydrates
• approximately 480 kcal
• a blend of maltodextrin and fructose
• very little salt and no fat or protein.

This high energy concentration makes it an ideal solution for long rides and endurance competitions.

Important: Gel Mix Flask recommended

Maurten Gel Mix 480 is designed to be prepared and consumed with the Maurten Gel Mix Flask. This flask is optimized to achieve the right consistency and facilitate consumption during exercise. Using a regular bottle is not recommended.

The Maurten Gel Mix 480 contains only the essential ingredients:

• fructose;
• xanthan gum;
• sodium alginate;
• pectin;
• sodium bicarbonate.

This formulation is gluten-free, lactose-free, soy-free, nut-free and contains none of the major allergens listed under European regulations. The ingredients are plant-based.

Compatible with Maurten Additions

The Gel Mix 480 can be combined with Maurten Additions:

• Cola
• Orange
• Apple
• Menthol

These flavors allow you to vary the taste without changing how the Hydrogel Technology works, helping to limit flavor fatigue during long competitions or training blocks.

Directions for use

Preparation

1. Slowly pour the contents of one sachet into 200 ml of water containing less than 80 mg/L of calcium.
2. Mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
3. Leave to stand for 5 minutes so that the Hydrogel forms.
4. The gel is then ready to consume.
