BCAA 4:1:1 APURNA® branched-chain amino acids are ideal for athletes practicing endurance or power sports. They help promote recovery by repairing muscle tissue. Providing BCAA during exercise also helps provide a rapid source of energy in addition to carbohydrates. They limit the use of muscle amino acids as an energy source during exercise, thereby promoting recovery and muscle building.

These 3 branched-chain amino acids (Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine) are mainly found in muscle tissue (35%). They are considered essential because they are not naturally produced by the body. They must therefore be obtained through the diet. For athletes, it is difficult to consume enough BCAA through food to meet the body’s needs. Supplementation is therefore necessary to meet the muscle needs of athletes.

The 4:1:1 ratio, 4 (Leucine), 1 (Valine), 1 (Isoleucine) is described as “optimized” because the Leucine content is doubled compared with the natural ratio, helping to improve muscle building in addition to recovery.

Directions for use:

A daily dose of 4 to 6g of BCAA depending on body weight, to be taken during and/or after exercise. An additional daily dose may be taken in the event of intense or prolonged exercise.
