Pyrene DrinkMix UltraEndurance (750g) Neutral: the foundation of the protocol
DrinkMix UltraEndurance® is a carbohydrate solution to be diluted, designed for long efforts. It combines DE10 corn maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. The 750 g sachet contains 30 doses of 25 g, each providing 23 g of carbohydrates.
Deliberately low sweetness
Of the 92 g of carbohydrates per 100 g, only 43 g are sugars. The rest comes from maltodextrin, which is almost tasteless. This is what determines how well it holds up over time: a drink that's too sweet goes down for an hour, then becomes sickly.
Two transporters instead of one
The maltodextrin/fructose ratio of 1 : 0,8 targets absorption via two distinct intestinal transporters, allowing hourly intake to increase without saturating a single channel. The brand claims specific work on the solution's osmolarity and gastric emptying rate.
The base, not the top-up
DrinkMix provides a steady intake in your bottle. The gel then concentrates energy when liquid volume becomes limiting, in hot conditions or at high intensity.
Directions for use
- Allow one 25 g dose, providing 23 g of carbohydrates, for each target intake portion;
- dilute in 500 to 750 mL of water and shake until fully dissolved;
- do not exceed 6 doses per bottle; beyond this, the solution becomes too concentrated;
- store below 23 °C, away from light.
