The WAITING DRINK maintains your energy potential and stabilizes your blood sugar before an event. It also alleviates the effects of pre-competition stress.
Why consume the WAITING DRINK?
In endurance events, every detail matters, especially when it comes to nutrition. Before demanding events such as marathons, trail races, cycling events, or triathlons, it is essential to prepare your body optimally.
This is where the OVERSTIM'S WAITING DRINK comes in: a strategic nutritional solution that is often underestimated, yet crucial.
Maintaining energy potential
Before a competition, it is crucial to maximize muscle and liver glycogen stores. Consuming the OVERSTIM'S WAITING DRINK, which is rich in fructose and maltodextrin, can help replenish these glycogen stores.
By maintaining high glycogen levels, the WAITING DRINK helps delay the onset of muscle fatigue. This enables endurance athletes to maintain optimal performance for an extended period.
Stabilizes blood sugar
Blood sugar fluctuations are a key factor in managing energy and performance.
Rapid spikes and drops in blood sugar can lead to feelings of fatigue and weakness, as well as an inability to maintain sustained effort.
The combination of fructose and maltodextrin in the OVERSTIM'S WAITING DRINK helps stabilize blood sugar. Maltodextrin, with its moderate glycemic index, ensures a more consistent release of energy, while fructose, with its lower glycemic index, prevents counterproductive blood sugar spikes.
Alleviates pre-competition stress
The period before a competition is often marked by increased mental and physical stress. This stress can trigger a series of hormonal reactions.
Adequate carbohydrate intake, such as that provided by the OVERSTIM'S WAITING DRINK, helps modulate this response by providing the body with the energy it needs to manage stress effectively.
