Maurten Gel 160 contains 40 grams of carbohydrates per sachet

Gel 160 is a larger hydrogel option, encapsulating 40 grams of carbohydrates in each serving. Proven technology made with just 6 natural ingredients—with no added colors, preservatives, or flavors. For athletes who want more energy in every gel to fuel their training and racing.

More or less—it’s the same thing

Gel 160 uses the same Maurten hydrogel technology that has been proven by athletes—but more of it. Each 65-gram sachet contains 40 grams of carbohydrates. It’s still Gel. Still cleaner. Still truer. Still without colors. Still without preservatives. Still hydrogel—that’s the innovation. Gel 160 is made using hydrogel technology and just 6 natural ingredients. A biopolymer matrix filled with a blend of fructose and glucose (0.8:1 ratio) allows the body to better tolerate the absorption of high concentrations of carbohydrates per hour during training and racing.

Need more time? Take more.

It’s as simple as that. Gel 160 is for athletes who want more energy in every gel. In endurance sports, eating regularly is important for maintaining performance. Sometimes, that isn’t easy. We fuel when we can. Fast-paced races and difficult conditions can affect when we try to eat and drink. Every fueling opportunity needs to count. And the farther you go, the more carbohydrates you need to maintain your performance. Gel 160 helps athletes reach the right amount of carbohydrates per hour, whatever the situation.

You asked for it

Maurten works closely with athletes—testing their performance and listening to their feedback in real-world conditions. There was one consistent message: "To get more carbohydrates during longer sessions, could we have a bigger gel?" Maurten examined the scientific data and found a logical solution. So they created it. Gel 160 is the result of a close relationship between Maurten and elite sport, all supported by confidence in hydrogel technology.
6 clean, natural ingredients. No preservatives. No artificial flavors or allergens. No mess on your hands or in your pockets. It doesn’t get cleaner than this.

This is THE gel

Other traditional energy gels on the market tend to be a liquid syrup. Gel 160 has a firmer, more gel-like structure. That makes it a gel. So you could say it’s THE Gel.

No guts, no glory

Thanks to hydrogel technology, Gel 160 enables the smooth transport of carbohydrates through the stomach to where they are absorbed—faster—thereby reducing the risk of gastrointestinal distress.

Science is part of our nature. And vice versa.

Maurten products are developed for endurance athletes. They rely on research and science to solve problems and improve performance. It all started in 2015. Patented hydrogel technology—which encapsulates high concentrations of carbohydrates—made fueling for sport easier to tolerate. The innovation meant less discomfort in the stomach. Soon, the world’s best runners began fueling their training and races with Maurten. Others followed.

Directions for use:

Consume the gel a few minutes before, during, and/or directly after activity.

Gel 160 is designed to give athletes options for fueling longer training sessions and races. The farther you go, the more carbohydrates you need to maintain your performance. The larger format allows athletes to carry fewer sachets while benefiting from the same proven hydrogel performance.
