GoldNutrition® Salt Caps are composed of mineral salts (electrolytes) that we primarily lose through sweat. Sodium is the predominant electrolyte because it is lost in greater quantities; the formula is supplemented with chloride, magnesium and potassium to maintain electrolyte balance. This product is intended for practitioners of activities whose prolonged duration results in higher sweat rates and therefore a greater need to replace mineral salts.
Electrolytes are particularly important in muscle, nerve and heart cells, where they work together to conduct electrical impulses for nerve signals and muscle contractions.
During prolonged exercise, especially in high temperatures, the body loses a lot of water and mineral salts through sweating. Drinking water is essential for hydration, but it is not enough during prolonged exercise. The electrolytes lost through sweat must be replaced, as their balance is essential for maintaining metabolic processes. Sodium intake, in particular, is extremely important to prevent hyponatremia, commonly referred to as overhydration.

Directions for use
- Take 2 capsules per hour, in addition to your hydrating drink, during events or training sessions lasting more than 2–3 hours or in very hot weather.
- You can take up to 3 doses per day.
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Should be avoided by people with hypertension or kidney disease.
Additional information
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
