During endurance exercise, your body needs carbohydrates to maintain its energy. You can also become dehydrated if you do not replace the water and electrolytes lost through sweating.

Research into traditional sports drinks suggests that you can consume only 60g of carbohydrates per hour. However, because Energy Drink is a 2:1 fructose blend, you can consume much more, up to 90g per hour. This means you get 50% more energy!
