How many carbohydrates do I need?
During intense activity, carbohydrates are your body's primary source of energy, and you can absorb more per hour when they come from a dual source. As a general rule, aim for approximately 30 to 60 g of carbohydrates per hour for activities lasting 1 to 3 hours, and 90 to 120 g of carbohydrates per hour for activities lasting more than 4 hours.
