Taste taken seriously
HIGH5’s philosophy comes down to one idea: when you’re fighting your way to the finish line, taste matters. The brand avoids artificial flavours, relying on natural flavours and, for some gels, concentrated fruit juices. The flavours are kept light, so they don’t become overwhelming after several hours of effort.

Two firsts that set the standard
HIGH5 claims to have conducted the world’s first research into performance gains linked to the 2:1 carbohydrate ratio, accompanied by step-by-step nutrition guides. The brand was also the first in Europe to launch a 4:1 carbohydrate-protein drink, for during and after exercise. This legacy lives on in Energy Drink with Protein 4:1: four parts carbohydrate to one part protein.
Quality and anti-doping controls
The site where HIGH5 gels and powders are made is certified as an Informed Manufacturer, with regular inspections and sampling. Products are tested for banned substances by LGC, the laboratory that runs the Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice programmes. This is worth considering if you compete in events with anti-doping controls.
