Horse’s strength
In Sanskrit (an ancient Indian language), “Ashwagandha” means “horse’s strength,” referring to the vigor and power associated with this revitalizing plant. Its botanical name, Withania somnifera , evokes its soothing properties, with somnifera meaning “that which brings sleep,” thus emphasizing its ability to promote rest and relaxation.
Ashwagandha, more specifically the species Withania somnifera L., is commonly known as Indian ginseng. It is traditionally used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine to help maintain energy and support the body while helping with relaxation and coping with temporary stress. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic plant, meaning that it can adapt to all circumstances.
Ashwagandha 5000 BIO is a highly concentrated organic extract rich in whithanolides. These are considered the main phytoactive compounds responsible for the plant’s adaptogenic properties.
Ashwagandha:
- helps maintain physical and mental capabilities in cases of fatigue or loss of concentration
- supports the body during temporary stress and contributes to relaxation
- helps maintain energy levels

Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women (ashwagandha is suspected of increasing the risk of miscarriage) or children under 12. Use is prohibited in cases of hemochromatosis due to the high iron content of ashwagandha. Ashwagandha may interact with the following medications: antidepressants, medications for treating high blood pressure, antidiabetic medications, immunosuppressants, and thyroid medications.
