When ammonium leaves the muscle fibers and enters the bloodstream, it can be converted into urea, an amino acid. This transformation is activated by citrulline, which is naturally produced in the liver. Finally, during intense exertion, the body produces lactic acid, which plays a role in replenishing carbohydrate reserves.

After exercise, it is important to replenish the reserves consumed or eliminated during performance. Therefore, rehydration is essential and should be accompanied by salt intake. Certain mineral waters rich in salt are therefore excellent choices. It is also important to replenish carbohydrate reserves by consuming sugars.

Good recovery habits help prevent cramps that may occur after exercise, minimize the risk of muscle soreness and muscle pain, and help protect against tendinitis and muscle injuries.

Recovery techniques: how do you recover after exercise?

Recovering well primarily means developing good habits. For many people, recovery is a ritual practiced systematically and continually refined. Simple techniques can make it much easier.
